Keynote:  "Narrative Databases and AI for Organizing and Writing Your Family History"

    by Mary Gordon, Ed.D

Family histories are complex based on genealogy, historical research, interviews, photos, and sometimes other visuals. All that information can be organized into a database that you as a genealogist/writer can use to manage your research. The database can serve as your resource while you develop your presentation, be it a talk, a book, pamphlet, or a media format. Mary has developed narrative databases for years and has presented this topic for university, national and international conferences, and an online conference worldwide. She will show the process for developing a database with all the inputs in mind with special attention to interviews. She will show sections of developed examples. She will address the implications of AI which is based on databases. Mary will hand out a worksheet and a narrative database template.
